By placing one shot in the hip or buttocks, both SMART and Atarax block the brain nicotine receptor and lessen the physical withdrawal pains of the nicotine. For the next two weeks, patches have success rate about 20 percent, while if scopolamine patches and medication are used together, the success rate can be reached about 70 – 80 percent.
